Herman has a long experience advising domestic and foreign ship owners, insurers, logistic companies, shippers, ports, civil services and associations involved in shipping and transport. His instructions cover also aviation and carriages of goods by railroad related matters.
Herman is experienced amongst others in issues relating to collisions, groundings, maritime declarations, arrests, opposing boycotts, salvages, general averages, liability limitation funds, maritime liens, oil spills, pilotages, seafarers employment contracts, cargo shifting, logistic contracts, transport damages, charterparties, small craft accidents, yachts, carriage of goods by road, air and railroad, transport of passengers, marine insurance, dockings, refitting and new buildings. These issues are very often subject to legal procedures. Legal procedures where Herman is involved have very often several parties from different jurisdictions which emphasizes the importance of the knowledge of procedural issues.
