Cannon Sloop Diana’s Public Sailings

Cannon sloop Diana’s summer family and public sailing will be held again in the summer of 2020. Public sailing will be held from 30 June to 7 August 2021.

18th Century Style Public Sailing

Between June 30 and August 7, 2021:

Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 13:00 and 15:30. In addition, on Saturdays in August 14.8. and 8/28/2021 at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM

An interesting boat trip to Viapori, enlightened by Admiral Chapmain, is planned. During Diana’s sailing, you will see Suomenlinna from the sea and hear about the fascinating history of the archipelago fleet. Participants can choose to assist the crew, dressed in 18th-century uniforms, in lifting and lowering sails, and a few briskers will take part in the rowing exercise.

Gift Certificate

Give as a gift a time travel to the 18th century. The gift recipient can sail in the 18th century style to the waters near Suomenlinna. Sailing serves the history and spirit of the 18th century vividly and fun through drama – the sailing is piloted by Admiral Chapman himself. Participants also have the opportunity to assist the crew in raising and lowering the sails.

The gift card (value € 50) covers tickets for two adults for sailing, or, for example, tickets for one adult and two children.

Duration and Place of Departure

The duration of the sailing is about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The sailings depart from Suomenlinna Artillery Bay, unless mentioned.

Please Note:

Diana is an open boat, so proper equipment is important. The sea can be cool even on a warm day due to the wind. It is good to book a warm and casual casual outfit as well as low shoes. On a sunny day, it is good to protect yourself from the sun. In case of rain, it is good to bring a raincoat. You should also bring a bottle of water.

Children are only allowed to take part in the sailing with an adult. There is no unobstructed access to the ship.

Participate safely in sailing:

Let’s take care of each other together and remember to keep safety distances to each other when boarding and being on board. Our staff will take care of and instruct you on how to move around the ship during sailing. The artillery loop Diana is an open boat, so while sailing be outside at sea, but safety distances are also kept on board. Follow and follow the instructions of the staff and follow them.

Only participate in sailing in good health. Follow good hand hygiene and arrive with clean hands. Wave with a wave of the hand when we meet. The number of participants for sailing is lower than normal to make it easier to keep safety distances. There are no separate arrangements for risk groups, as participation in events is not recommended according to official guidelines.

Tickets for sailing are sold in advance from the Ehrensvärd Society’s online store. The number of participants for the sailings is limited, we recommend booking tickets in advance.

Note: If the minimum number of participants in the sailing is not met, the sailing can be canceled. In this case, the matter will be announced and the sailing can be postponed to another day or, alternatively, the ticket money will be returned to the ticket purchasers.
